CRAFTT Abroad
Beginning in 2020, CRAFTT plans to partner with a school located in Central/South America, the Caribbean, or Africa to connect cultural education, arts, and S.T.E.M. teachers of African descendant to students of African descent in these regions.
CRAFTT Abroad is an international summer and winter break program in which teachers travel overseas to educate students in cultural arts and education alongside science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (S.T.E.M.).*
Every teacher selected must have professional experience in cultural arts, education, and a S.T.E.M subject.

Example: Janice has a Bachelor's Degree in History and taught two years at a charter school. Janice is also a professional recording artist who specializes in Folk Songs from the Gullah people in South Carolina. She has experience in audio production and engineering.

Target Student Group: Secondary School or Ages 14-18

Target Classroom Size per Teacher: 8 - 20 students

Partnership: CRAFTT + Overseas School Agreement

Length of Program: 4-6 weeks (Summer) and 2-4 weeks (Winter)

*Teachers are responsible for any passport, visa, and vaccination fees. CRAFTT is only responsible for round-trip transportation from and to the U.S., lodging for the period of the teaching contract, and curriculum guidelines. All other fees accrued for food, beverage, souvenirs, private excursions. etc. are the sole responsibility of the teacher.
