Saint Domingue, the musical, was written and produced by Content Johnson. Originally written as a screenplay in 2013, the script was edited and redeveloped into a musical in 2018. Inspired by true historical events of the 18th century colonial era and the Haitian Revolution, the musical is packed with cultural singing and dance from the African diaspora and tells an empowering story of blood, power, and spirit. The musical is currently being produced by the Cultural Research and Arts Foundation where Teaching meets Talent (CRAFTT), Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Alexandria, VA.
